Shanghai Fashion Week

As a renowned fashion landmark, Shanghai Fashion Week draws on the urban heritage and cultural confidence of Shanghai, a century-old fashion capital, and adheres to the positioning philosophy of “integrating local and international visions” and “balancing creative design and commercial implementation”. Over the past 18 years, it has evolved from a mere platform for showcasing fashion to an eco-scape that permeates the entire fashion industry. Shanghai Fashion Week is held twice a year and lasts for 7 days each time. Brands at Shanghai Fashion Week include both local mainstream brands and a number of adventurous designer brands, both of which are very popular.

Shanghai Fashion Week 2023

The Chinese metropolis is ahead of the times in many respects and also has a knack for unusual and cutting-edge creations when it comes to street style. This year’s street style looks were dominated by a rather restrained color palette and recurring elements in many outfits – lots of black and muted tones were one of the common features picked up by visitors. Chinese fashion designers are becoming more confident in their use of Chinese design elements.
