Your first jobs: Showrooms, online shops and Instagram
If you have gained this, partly acting experience, it is a long way. But by the age of 15, you are slowly reaching the age where it is worth working as a model. If you want to start as a model at 15, your first jobs will probably be in showrooms as a fitting model. At such a showroom, fashion designers present their new collections. The invited guests are buyers from larger fashion chains or fashion boutiques, from within the country or abroad.

Once you have a bit more experience, of course, the jobs would naturally be much more demanding. From online shop shootings with 30 different items to commercials, it all ultimately comes down to one perfect second in which you smile. The big challenge here is that the entire set has to be right. For example, if two models are booked and 50 extras in a large location, such as a club, to promote a soft drink, then every moment has to be perfect, meaning every single performer has to act perfectly. A second shooting day is impossible for personnel and organizational reasons, and it would also be very expensive!

What is possible in modeling at 15 years old?
At 15 years old, teenagers already have access to specific areas of the fashion world. Youth fashion campaigns for large retail chains, sport brand collaborations for junior lines, teen lookbooks, first editorial shoots for youth magazines, and occasional commercials with young actors are possible. Starting at 15 allows one to gain experience before the market significantly broadens at 18.

Parental consent is mandatory for every job, every contract, and every agency registration. The Youth Protection Act strictly limits daily working hours. Compulsory schooling has absolute priority. Shootings take place almost exclusively on weekends or during school holidays.
First steps — Test shoot, application, what to prepare?
For the application, professional photos are not necessary — natural, up-to-date photos in good daylight are better. Two to three photos are sufficient: a face photo without filters, a full-body photo in neutral clothing. In addition, current measurements and parents’ contact details are needed.
Measurements and Requirements at 15
