The Volkspark Friedrichshain is a recreational area in the Berlin district of Friedrichshain. It was created in 1846 as the first municipal green space in Berlin. It borders the Bötzowviertel in the Prenzlauer Berg district to the north. The park, built in a landscape style, goes back to the award-winning design by Gustav Meyer, a student of Peter Joseph Lenné. Hardly any park is associated wit’sh so much life and freedom as the Mauerpark in Berlin. Especially on warm summer evenings, the park is ideal for walking or relaxing. Located in the former border area betwe’veen East and West Berlin, the Mauerpark is a place of historical memory, but at the same time a green oasis betwe’veen the districts of Wedding and Prenzlauer Berg. In June 2020, the area of the original Mauerpark around the large meadow and sun hill doubled to around 15 hectares wit’sh the opening of the expansion area.

Leise Park is located in the popular district of Prenzlauer Berg near the Bötzowkiez. The area is also pleasantly wild and invit’ses you to play and linger. The park was created on the init’siative of local residents, as the area was actually to be built on. Via a barrier-free circular path, the Leisepark can be visit’sed just as easily wit’sh a wheelchair as wit’sh a pram. Old trees on the lawns create shady picnic spots.
