That’s it – Successful model casting in Cologne

Catwalk. Posing. Recall. On Sunday the big, open CM Models model casting took place in Cologne. The team was highly motivated, the location casting-fairly up-behaved and the demand for model applicants enormous. Michelle has captured the formative impressions for you and summarized them briefly.

Casting start – Large rush in the Mediapark

Sunday morning 12 o’clock – the gates of our CM Models agency open. Numerous model applicants have already gathered outside the door. The line at the reception is getting longer by the minute. Each applicant registers on a list and receives a number. Time passes and there is a certain tension in the air. Our Polaroid assistant Celia takes care of the Polaroid photos, which are taken before the jury’s assessment. The model applicants observe the competition or give each other the last tips for a perfect appearance. Meanwhile, our social media representative Hanna Jung is working diligently on interesting “Behind-the Szenes” shots.
First impressions count: Models in casting

The jury’s eyes wander curiously to the door of the casting room. Every new face is carefully received. The model candidates try to convince the jurors of their personality, their experiences and a short test walk. Critical glances eye every step and every movement. Our CM Models jury, consisting of model-booker Regina Steinpress, model-booker Marcel Matt, photographer Oliver Rudolph and two of our agency models as guest jurors, are busy taking notes. Thanks to years of experience in the modeling business, our team always agrees quickly which candidates have a chance of being recalled.

The Recall – the second round of interviews

The number of model applicants shrinks from 54 to 25 candidates in round 2, the “recall”. The selection is difficult: Many talented young models fight for a place in the CM Models Model file. In the recall, the chosen one is felt closer to the tooth, or rather to the shoe. The candidates prove themselves to the direct competition in small groups. They show their catwalk style, as well as different posing styles according to photographer’s instructions. Especially the challenge “dynamic posing” shows which of the model candidates have a solid self-confidence: A jump. A twist. YES the girls also on high heels! The view is directed towards the camera. After a short expert consultation, each model receives direct and constructive feedback.

The jury’s verdict

Congratulations: We welcome 16 new faces to our agency! Besides six new male models, 10 new female models adorn our model portfolio. We are enthusiastic and proudly welcome our new agency. SAY HELLO!
