Marcel Ostertag x Fashion Week 2019
Marcel Ostertag, who studied at the renowned Central St. Martin College in London, founded his eponymous label Marcel Ostertag in 2006. With 16 shows presented at the Fashion Week in Berlin, it is an integral part of the MBFW. We were live again this year and were amazed by his show, like every year.
Marcel Ostertag – The Primeval Rock of Fashion Week
Marcel Ostertag is both maker and brand. Inspired by the streets of Munich and the special flair of the Viktualienmarkt, Marcel Ostertag designs his collections in his studio in the Gärtnerplatz quarter, which are produced exclusively in Germany. In his collections, however, the designer does not only pay attention to optics. It is very important to him that the person who wears his designs also feels comfortable. For this reason, he regularly visits fabric fairs so that he can guarantee good wearing comfort.
What does Marcel Ostertag stand for?
Love is in the details, says Ostertag. This is exactly what the designer wants to implement. Through details his collections should be timeless, preferably eternal. The designer himself says that his target group is not necessarily the rich and beautiful, but anyone who loves and appreciates quality and pays attention to details. It is important that your customers care about wearing things that only a few others wear.
Autumn/Winter 2019 at the Berlin Fashion Week
Like every year, Ostertag proved itself this year at the Fashion Week 2019 in Berlin. Made of matt rosé shiny sequins on a short pendant, he styles a rough turtleneck sweater in olive green and adds metallic buckles to the coarse, orange-coloured straps of the dress. His talent for material combination, which can hardly be surpassed, he simply proves again and again. We were enthusiastic about the production and are looking forward to the next Fashion Week to be inspired by him.
