Showroom, for producers, designers and brands
A showroom is used to present a designer’s new fashion collections. There is no catwalk and no public audience is admitted. The collections are presented to retail representatives and buyers with the help of models. New faces with the perfect measurements to fit the sample garments are often booked for the showroom. Experience and image do not play a major role in the showroom.
Showroom job: how it works
The showroom is usually located on the designer’s or wholesaler’s premises. As the models only serve as presentation objects in a showroom job and there is no marketing effect, the models’ fee is set rather low. As a rule, a model is booked for three to five days by the customer for the showroom. Sometimes pictures are also taken of the models in the trial sizes, but these are only used internally.
