The fashion circus is back in Berlin! Not only does the Fashion Week shine this week with great events, but also our Model agency at House Of Weekend – the most beautiful location in Berlin Mitte – above the rooftops of Berlin! Right on time for the start of the Berlin Fashion Week, we have our big casting: Fashion, runway, advertising, Curvy Models – we want you! Mark July 4th in red on your calendar and come to Berlin. If you know someone – friends, partners, family… – who has the stuff to be a model and who our jury should definitely take a look at, bring them along directly.

Your registration for the CM Live Casting

To participate in the casting, we need some information from you in advance. Send us a simple application including your personal details – name, place of residence, and contact information – as well as two recent photos of you, so that we can let you know in good time whether you’re in. You can take the photos easily with your phone or smartphone; good daylight is important so that we can get a realistic impression of your look. We need a portrait photo and a full-body photo of you, everything naturally – so no make-up or styling and neutral clothing: black jeans, plain shoes, white shirt – because you are in the foreground! Maybe you know someone who can help you with the photos. Here’s a quick summary again:

As soon as your application has been received by us, it will be reviewed by our Model Scout – and with a bit of luck, he will send you an invitation to a live casting in Berlin! If you do not receive an invitation within 48 hours, unfortunately it wasn’t enough this time.

Casting Process, Jury and Presentation (Gosee)

There is obviously a lot to organize and plan for the Fashion Week, which is why the castings are limited to 2 hours. During these 2 hours, all invited models come together and present themselves in front of our four-member jury.

1. Gosee: Quick presentation in front of the jury

The jury consists of our Head of Scouting and our Head of Booking. But also two special guests, an influencer or singer, as well as a guest from the fashion industry, bring objectivity and lots of experience to take a look at the new talents in Berlin. As a model, you have approximately one to two minutes at the casting to introduce yourself. You walk towards the jury, introduce yourself – mention your hometown, your languages and your hobbies – and do a short runway walk. That’s very simple: you walk away from the jury and then back. This way, the judges can assess your walk and get a better view of your figure – and of course also you, what kind of looks and facial expressions you use? That’s enough for the jury to form a first opinion.

2. Recall: Round two with more time and conversation

After the first round, all models who made it to the Recall will be called. They will then be more closely examined by our jury in a second round. Here, you no longer have just one or two minutes, but a bit more time, and we will take the first photos of you. Whoever passes the Recall has already come far!

3. Test Shootings parallel to the Fashion Week

For everyone who has convinced us up to this point, appointments for individual photo shoots with our fashion photographers will be arranged within the following 5 days, so that we can see exactly how you perform in front of the camera – this is the third round!

If you’ve made it this far, you’re just a step away from a modeling contract with CM Models. As you can see from our previous work, we put a lot of effort into selecting our models, as we work with major and well-known clients such as Prada, Dior, Peek & Cloppenburg, Deichmann, Microsoft, VW, and many other companies. In addition, we work extensively abroad. Some of our models are currently in Tokyo, Japan, and Milan, Italy, as well as in Miami, USA. You have great opportunities with us, but we also expect a lot of motivation and commitment from you. As every year, our scouts and agents come together in Berlin. Not only to celebrate fashion, but also to find new talents for fashion designers together with the fashion magazine FIV. Every 6 months there is a new Fashion Week in Berlin, and even more frequently in Paris and Milan. The jobs and tasks of a model are as diverse as the models themselves – from the ambitious athlete to the girl who masters 500 different musical instruments. Every month there are new collections in the city centers – from the big department store to the boutique, a huge range of job opportunities. Electronics manufacturers bring new smartphones to the market and constantly new TV sets or cars are produced. In between, there is a beauty campaign and then it’s on to a job for hair products. Our job as a model agency in Berlin is to connect clients with the latest trends.
