Open Model Casting x Cologne 03/05/15 x Recap

Zum Model Casting in Köln ein kurzes, ehrliches, wow! Früh um 10 Uhr ging es los, das Team war komplett, die Jury mit Cafe ausgestattet und wir standen schon mit Stiften und Formularen unten im Foyer, um Models und Newfaces zu empfangen. Die Location war großartig, trotz Regen! Mitten im Kölner Mediapark (Startplatz). Vorher hieß es natürlich noch viel Arbeit und Vorbereitung für die Organisation des offenen Castings. Doch dann war soweit und die Tür öffneten sich, los gehts! Und die Auswahl war wirklich vorzüglich, viele tolle neue Talente, starke Gesichter, Posings und Walks.

Casting and preparation

Already early in the morning it went off. The hectic was still great: shopping, pick up, plan. From the dress (Ascaso Promet) for the test shooting to the drinks. Crepe tape for the catwalk, documents for the jury. With a short trip to downtown Cologne we had all the shopping done, from Friesenplatz, to the Beglische Viertel and back to Media Park, preparing the perfect location for the upcoming casting. With a small lake, skyscraper, cinema and a large balcony in the casting room.

Sunday morning we started

At 10 am we opened the doors almost on time. The day was a bit rainy but in the end some sun can come out, just in time for the walks. After the first checks, data and contacts, all models had the opportunity to prepare for the casting in a room. Of course, common experiences were also diligently exchanged.

About 10 minutes later it started and we invited model after model in front of our four-person casting jury. Among them were our booker, scout, photographer Oliver Rudolf and fashion blogger Jasmin Kessler. Fashion Blogging? Yes! As an agency with a strong cross-media network, it was important for us to have a blogger on board who writes and reports daily about current trends in the fashion world. Let’s go! Each model got her walk, introduced herself/himself and her/his book. Next walk, posing. Two and a half hours long. Each model got another short Polaroid shoot. After that it was time for the jury to decide. With Polaroids, notes from the casting, pictures and books. In the end we had our favorites. Of course we also took a few little snapshots on the sidelines of the casting.

11 New Faces – New Models

There were some really good candidates. A complete success and proof that there is incredible, hitherto little-used potential in Cologne. We are changing that: A new path now begins for 11 new models, welcome to the CM Models family! We are looking forward to working with you and will soon start with the first shootings.

On 12.05. – ‘le bloc’ fashion show casting

You can also already look forward to the next casting in Cologne: ‘le bloc’ 2015. On 12.05.2015 20 models have the chance to be on the catwalk for ‘le bloc’. You can find more information here:
